Hi, I have been writing a story like Noah's ark. Here it is:
One sunny day when the sun was bright and the sky was blue, Noah heard a huge crash from the lower level of the ark. He sprinted as fast as he could down the stairs eager to see what had happened. When he reached the bottom of the stairs he saw the elephants looking scared and the tiger looking sheepishly at him. “What happened?” shouted Noah. He could see the huge tusk of the elephant stuck in the side of the boat and water was rushing in. He suddenly knew what had happened, the tiger must have escaped from his pen and chased the elephant into the side of the boat.
Noah had no time to explain to the animals, he rounded them up as fast as he could and pushed them up to the top level. The boat started shaking as it filled with water. There was chaos in the ark. Every animal was scared. As the boat started filling up it started sinking and the animals ran to the edge. Just then it started to rain.
“Oh no! This is not good”, said Noah. Then the animals started to fall off the boat. Off went the frog, zebra, goat, cheetah and the wombat and it looked like the tiger was next. Luckily, Noah could see an island in the distance, so he called out and told the animals in the water to start swimming. They swam and swam until they finally reached the island. The other animals and Noah got the planks from the arc and made a raft from the planks and bits of seaweed poking up from the water and sailed there safe and sound.
The end.
Have you heard about Noah’s ark?
Hello, I have been leaning about fungus this week, it is a bit yuck but interesting. Here is my poster.
Have you seen any of these in the forest?
They are nocturnal which means they sleep in the day and come out at night. They are like hedgehogs because they have lots of things alike like - they are nocturnal, they have spikes/scales and they eat insects. One of the Pangolin’s THREATS are they are hunted for their scales/spikes and meat.
In June 2020 china made the size of protection for the natvie chinese pangolin bigger. Up to 200,000 are taken from the wild every year in Africa and Asia.there are 8 pangolin species in the world 4 are in Africa and 4 are in Asia all are under threat and all protected from trade.
Some companies are trying to stop people selling wild pangolin at the 2 biggest markets like China and Vietnam.
This week I have been learning about honey bees and how important they are and how are can help them survive. I hope you like my brochure.
Can you plant some flowers and plants and trees at your home or school to help the bees?
I think I should get a pet echidna. These are my reasons why.
Firstly, I should be allowed to get echidna because it would keep the house clean. If I got a echidna it could eat all the bugs that got into the house like ants, spiders, grasshoppers. This is a good thing because it would stop the spiders making webs in the house and the house would not be full of bugs. Secondly, an echidna could eat all the food scraps and this would stop food waste and I wouldn't have to spend as much money on food for it.
Another one of my reasons is for company. If I got a echidna I would play with it in the backyard and at the park. If I was lonely it would cheer me up. I would let it sleep on my bed and on my lap. I would cuddle it every day and this would stop me getting bored and bothering my parents all the time.
Another one of my reasons is responsibility. I feel that it would teach me responsibility by looking after it. I would take it to the vet and all the other stuff it will need. I would clean up after it and all the things it eats.
Therefore in conclusion, having a pet echidna would keep the house clean, it would keep me company and it would teach me responsibility to look after it. These are the reasons why I should have a pet echidna.
Do you think I should be allowed a pet echidna?
